Character Introduction

Edit
Height: 178 centimeters / Weight: 68 kilograms / Birthday: May 16
A second-year student who serves as the captain of the Seirin High School basketball team. His position is SG (Shooting Guard). His jersey number is 4 (in 'EXTRA GAME,' it is 13 for "VORPAL SWORDS"). The nickname given to him by Kagetora is "Puttun Megane" (Crazy Glasses).
He has a plain and gentle appearance with glasses, but once his "switch" is flipped, he reveals his true nature as a provocative and sharp-tongued individual. His catchphrase is "Daaaho" (Idiot). He is the mental pillar of Seirin, never losing confidence in any situation. He, Riko, and Izuki were all part of the same middle school basketball team. During middle school, he had poor performance records and once tried to quit basketball to become a delinquent, but he regained his passion for basketball through his interactions with Kiyoshi. His family runs a barbershop, and he has some knowledge of hair cutting. There are hints that he has feelings for Riko.
He is one of Seirin's top clutch shooters, and when his "switch" is on, his concentration and success rate significantly increase, a state referred to as clutch mode. To become stronger under pressure, he underwent training where he had to break his favorite Sengoku warlord figures for every missed shot, which shaped his current confident personality. Along with Kagami and Kiyoshi, he is a powerful scoring source for Seirin, and his 3-point shots often change the flow of the game. However, as a guard, he is slow and not good at dribbling, making him prone to having the ball stolen. Before the Winter Cup, he received training from Kagetora and mastered the "inviolable shot."
In middle school, he imitated the shooting form of his admired NBA player Ray Allen, but his success rate decreased, so he abandoned it and established his current form by referencing Mibuchi from Rakuzan, who was in a nearby district at the time. His shooting accuracy is top-class in the series, and even Wakamatsu praised him, saying, "If you exclude Midorima, he might be the top 3-point shooter."
He was the only starter to play full games, but in the match against Rakuzan, he committed a regrettable fourth foul and was benched. However, thanks to Koganei's good fight, he identified the slight differences in Mibuchi's three types of shots, countered them, and in the final stages of the game, mimicked Mibuchi's "ground" shot to seize a chance for a comeback.
In the academic ability test, he ranked 112th out of 305 second-year students, making him the worst-performing second-year student in the basketball team.
