Chilchuck Tims

Race: Half-foot. 29 years old. Due to his race being naturally youthful-looking and petite, Senshi initially mistook him for a child of a Tallman, and Marcille also treats him like a child, but as a Half-foot, he is an adult male of about 50 in modern human years and is married. He has a wife and three adult daughters and is from the Eastern Continent.

He utilizes his race-specific agility, dexterity, and keen senses for unlocking doors and treasure chests, and disarming traps. He also primarily plays a supportive role, such as activating devices for shortcuts, preemptively avoiding danger, and guiding safely. While he generally does not engage in combat, he can handle projectiles and sometimes provides rear support. Due to his role, he has experienced numerous incidents, including life-threatening dangers, and profoundly detests mimics and tentacles to the extent of initially resisting eating them, though he eventually does eat both.

He is usually calm and thoughtful, the most street-wise member of the group, even Marcille, who usually treats him like a child due to his appearance, acknowledges him as "the most adult," and he commands respect in the party, including from the relatively newcomer Senshi and Izutsumi. However, he has strict notions about territories and roles, showing intense anger at Senshi's disobedience during trap disarming, which occasionally sharply tensions the atmosphere. According to Laios, his attitude stems from a strong sense of responsibility towards the party and blunt, direct communications necessitated by his role.

From his newbie days in the dungeon, he nearly became bait for a valuable succubus, leading him to establish a "Union" to prevent his race from being treated as "disposable," making him a prominent figure among the Half-foots in the labyrinth's vicinity. He is stringent about money, only accepting jobs with upfront payments, despite the downside of "cannot quit midway."

He considered early retirement from dungeon explorations before he was introduced to the party as the only Half-foot capable of deep-layer exploration by the Union members. He agreed to participate in the mission to rescue Falin, having received his reward upfront; however, this decision led him to express a tinge of regret for possibly exposing his companions to further mortal danger. Despite saying "I'd rather not die," his true feelings strongly wish not to let his comrades die. He also dislikes relationship troubles typically initiated by romantic issues and therefore tends to hide his private life and feelings. However, after hearing about his separation from his wife, Marcille advised him to learn more about other people's emotions.

He is more flexible in his thoughts about consuming monster flesh than Marcille, strongly rejecting creatures with human-like forms like "mermaids" due to concerns about food poisoning and sentiment. Additionally, he is quite fond of alcohol, immediately lighting up upon finding it and promptly opting to drink, accurately appraising ale made by the Golden Castle residents, indicating he is a significant drinker and liquor connoisseur.

Earlier, in magazine stories, he was named "Halfing Nullchuck," but in the volume publications, he is uniformly known as "Half-foot Chilchuck."

He claims to lack combat skills and has always declared to his comrades that he does not participate in battles; however, during the fight against the Red Dragon, he stabbed its left eye with an orichalcum knife throw and led Izutsumi in defeating an Ice Golem by shooting near its core, contributing through his skillfulness.

Meijack

Chilchuck's eldest daughter, nicknamed "Mei." She looks the most like Chilchuck. She is also a locksmith, considered skillful though unfriendly, and is recommended as a backup for Chilchuck in case of an emergency.

Flatm

Chilchuck's second daughter, nicknamed "Fla." She has a strong desire to marry and prefers wealthy dwarves due to her tribe being stingy and poor-looking. Consequently, Chilchuck does not think it good to have her meet Senshi during meals.

Packpati

Chilchuck's youngest daughter, nicknamed "Pati." The last time they met, she was selling dragon dung. Chilchuck predicts she will face tough times due to her somewhat flippant attitude towards life but also thinks she will manage to navigate it well.
