Falin Touden

Race: Tallman. Age: 23. Laios's younger sister and a magician. Born in the northern continent. She has a gentle and mild-mannered personality, often mediating and soothing disputes among her companions. Like her brother, she has a strong curiosity and adventurous spirit, often expressing a desire to "eat" monsters. She prefers not to engage in physical combat, focusing instead on support magic primarily for healing, and performs high-level exorcisms using advanced techniques. Her exorcism skills were so advanced that even Marcille was impressed. She specializes in gnome-based magic and has taught her brother some magic, but due to her intuitive nature and poor explanatory skills, Laios never fully mastered it.

From a young age, she followed her brother running around the mountains and fields. One day, after calming a wandering spirit in the village cemetery, the other villagers began to find her creepy. However, her brother encouraged her to pursue a career that would utilize her talents, and they enjoyed fantasizing about traveling to foreign lands together. Marcille was surprised by the medieval-like treatment Falin received in her village.

A year after her brother left the village, she enrolled in the Karkabulude School of Magic but initially struggled to fit in. She often skipped classes to read and write letters to her brother in the mountains outside the school. As a result, she made no friends and her grades did not improve. However, during a presentation on a dungeonium assignment, she achieved results far surpassing Marcille, who was recognized by everyone as a prodigy. Shocked by her performance, Marcille joined her on a dungeon exploration, admiring her curiosity and love for all life, which rivaled her brother Laios's. They saw the dungeon as an ecosystem, which deepened Marcille's respect for her, and they became good friends. After this, both her letters and school life improved. Just before Laios left for "the island," she met with him and decided to leave school to join him in dungeon exploration as a profession.

At the beginning of the story, she protected Laios and, while caught in the fangs of a Red Dragon, cast a return spell to save her party by teleporting them to the surface, but she was devoured. Later, her brother's party defeated the Red Dragon, and using her bones recovered from its body, Marcille resurrected her using a secret technique involving the flesh of the Red Dragon.

However, the combination of black magic and the flesh of the Red Dragon caused her to lose her sanity. Before escaping the labyrinth, she was transformed into a grotesque chimera by the frenzied magician Sissel, who mixed her soul with that of the Red Dragon. The chimera retained much of Falin's appearance, but her consciousness was dominated by the soul of the Red Dragon, which was loyal to Sissel. She mercilessly attacked her former companions and protected Sissel even at the risk of depleting her magical power. However, there were still traces of Falin's personality, such as when she tried to eat berries with Sissel.

As a chimera, Falin became a very powerful enemy, but because she could only eat through her own mouth, she was unable to consume enough food and was starving. Realizing this, Laios devised a plan to capture her using a large amount of rabbit curry and beer as bait, and ultimately killed her himself. Afterwards, she was frozen and preserved by a winged lion for Marcille, who had become the master of the labyrinth.

According to the Adventurer's Bible, she had already secured a job as a gravedigger after graduation, a position with much better treatment than in her hometown, which had shunned her. Additionally, it turns out she had poor eyesight from a young age, which is why she often squinted. After being rescued, she squinted less, and when she transformed into a monster, she only opened her eyes when her expression changed.
