Wataru Shima

From Chapter 24 of the original work. Rin's father. He has the appearance of a gentle man wearing glasses. In the first episode of the second season of the TV anime, an original episode is depicted where he drives his daughter Rin to the campsite at Lake Motosu for her first camping experience and arranges for the campsite manager to give her camping advice, thoroughly playing the role of a chauffeur and caretaker. Additionally, on the day before Rin's camping trip to Izu, he cooperates with Hajime, who goes out of his way to come from their home in Aichi Prefecture right after finishing work, to install parts on Rin's moped. In the "Special Episode," he sends Rin’s moped for its annual inspection and arranges for the rental of a three-wheeled bike as a replacement vehicle.
