Dot Pixis

The commander of the Garrison Regiment and the highest authority overseeing the southern territories, including the Trost District. Height: 180 cm. Weight: 73 kg. His appearance is modeled after Yoshifuru Akiyama, a general of the Imperial Japanese Army. He speaks in an old man's manner and is known as a commander with flexible judgment and decisive leadership in military affairs, but is also known as a "natural eccentric," having once said, "I wouldn't mind being eaten by a supremely beautiful Titan." He enjoys drinking and often indulges even during missions.

During the Battle of Trost District, he independently executed a plan to block the infiltration route using Eren's abilities to overturn the unfavorable situation. He inspired his subordinates with his speech and, while resigning himself to being a slaughterer, sent his valuable subordinates into the jaws of death. He frequently exchanged information with Erwin of the Survey Corps and established a cooperative system after the Titan incident within Wall Rose. During the coup d'état by the Survey Corps, he pretended to oppose Erwin on the surface while secretly seeking cooperation from Zackley, assessing the royal government. When the royal government officials chose their own interests and self-preservation over humanity's lives upon hearing the fake information about Titans appearing within the walls, he, along with Zackley, turned against the government and detained the officials.

Afterward, he became one of the leaders of the new regime and saw off the Survey Corps as they headed for the final operation to reclaim Wall Maria. Upon learning the truth of the world brought back by the returning Survey Corps, he cautioned the other leaders, who were hesitant to disclose it due to fear of public unrest, that hiding the truth from the people would nullify the justification for overthrowing the old regime.

He also appears as one of the leaders during the Marley arc. After Zackley's assassination, he effectively became the top leader and decided to overlook the Yeagerists' assassination to avoid bloodshed within the walls, while biding his time and feigning submission to them. However, he drank wine laced with Zeke's spinal fluid, prepared by Yelena and other volunteers, and during Marley's surprise attack on Paradis Island, he was transformed into a Titan by Zeke's "scream." After the Rumbling was activated, he was killed by a Thunder Spear from Armin.

In the anime version, his first appearance differs from the original work, with an added scene in episode 5 where he plays a monthly chess match with the anime-original character Count Bault on a noble's estate. During the chess game, Titans appear in the Trost District, but Count Bault mocks Pixis for heading to the battlefield and orders him to guard his own estate. Pixis, giving a glance at Count Bault, who only cares about his own safety over the lives of humanity and soldiers, heads to the Trost District.
