Originally a 30 cm long insectoid magical beast that Rimuru protected in the Great Jura Forest. After being named by Rimuru, it was tasked with collecting nectar from rare flowers in the Treant village, but in Volume 8, it was recommended by Trainee and became the guardian of the 79th layer. By Volume 10, it had completed its metamorphosis into an insectoid demon (Insectar) and became the Queen Wasp, the fastest of all magical creatures, and called itself the Insect Queen. Its appearance changed to a female form with an exoskeleton of jet-black living magical steel and two pairs of four wings.

From Rimuru's perspective, it belongs to the secondary lineage of Zegion, and in Volume 14, it received Zegion's blessing after his awakened evolution, evolving into the mid-level holy demonic spirit and wind spirit wasp, Star Wasp. Also, as a reward from Rimuru, it collected the souls of the Army Wasps lost in the battle at Minitts, creating nine new insectoid demons. In a personal meeting with Rimuru in Volume 16, it named the nine subordinates and had its abilities modified by Ciel to a frontline fighting hero type, acquiring the ultimate gift "Queen Worship (Proserpina)."

It is very competitive and uses its venomous stinger and the blades of shock emitted by its wing vibrations as weapons. Although lacking in combat experience, it gained experience by training with Hinata and developed an intuition close to future prediction. In Volume 13, it failed to completely eliminate Minitts who invaded the labyrinth, but in Volume 16, it helped buy time to stop Dino's betrayal.
