Paul Duncan

The elderly composer from Bohemia employs North No. 2. During his boyhood, he suffered from a serious illness and was on the brink of death, but his life was saved by surgery performed by an unlicensed Japanese doctor. However, as a result of the surgery, his eyesight gradually deteriorated, and he eventually became blind. Because he believed that his mother had abandoned him, his personality became twisted, and he treated North No. 2 like a weapon. However, as he learned the truth—that his mother sold herself to afford the expensive surgery fees necessary for his operation, and that her actions were out of genuine love—his heart gradually began to open.
