Vivi Nefertari is the princess of Alabasta Kingdom, the beloved daughter of King Cobra Nefertari. She is known for her bravery, kindness, and determination. Even as a teenager, she risked her life by infiltrating the Baroque Works, a dangerous criminal group trying to take over her country. Vivi’s experiences led her to meet Luffy D. Monkey’s crew, and after some tense first encounters, she became close friends with them. Although she chose to stay in Alabasta for her people instead of sailing with her new friends, Vivi remains a trusted ally and is still considered a member of the Straw Hat Pirates at heart. Her journey is filled with adventure, courage, and deep loyalty to her kingdom and friends.
Vivi Nefertari is a beautiful young woman with long, wavy blue hair and a graceful figure.
She is often seen wearing stylish and different clothes depending on the place she is visiting.
As Miss Wednesday, Vivi wore her hair in a high ponytail with a unique hair tie and a bold outfit that included a jacket with fur on the collar and sleeves, a camisole with circular patterns, white hot pants, and lace-up boots.
Her camisole holds her weapon, the “Peacock Slashers,” hidden at her chest, and she draws the blades using attached strings.
After her identity was revealed, she wore more modern and casual clothes, much like Nami.
When acting as a princess, Vivi dresses in beautiful, ancient Egyptian style dresses, with her hair half-tied up, showing both elegance and her royal status.
There was also a scene where she appeared in a pirate queen outfit in a dream, holding a gun and wearing a pirate hat.

Even as a child, she attended the World Meeting with her father and managed to handle a conflict with calmness and grace.
Vivi is very loyal to her country and her father, showing great strength and resolve since she was young.
She can be bold and brave, not hesitating to go undercover in Baroque Works, even if the enemy was very dangerous.
Sometimes she is a bit clumsy and blurts out secrets by accident, but she is honest and genuine.
As Miss Wednesday, she acted much more cunning and seductive, but it was clear this was an act.
In times of crisis, Vivi becomes very passionate and can use surprisingly strong and harsh language, especially when facing adversaries like Crocodile.
She is also caring and respectful to her friends, calling most of them with "san" (Mr./Ms.) and even giving Zoro Roronoa the nickname "Mr. Bushido."
Vivi Nefertari is the only daughter of King Cobra Nefertari of Alabasta Kingdom, a desert country in the first half of the Grand Line.
She is descended from a royal line and grew up loved by her father, her now-deceased mother, loyal ministers, and the people of her country.
When she was just 13, Vivi learned about the secret activities of Baroque Works threatening Alabasta and decided to infiltrate the organization with Igaram and her reliable duck, Karoo.
As part of her cover, she became Miss Wednesday and tried to uncover Baroque Works’ secrets from the inside.
Vivi is much stronger than a normal girl her age, able to defeat multiple fighters on her own.
Her main weapon is the "Peacock Slasher," a small spinning blade attached to a string worn on her finger, which she uses in close combat.
She also uses the "Peacock String Slasher," a longer version with more reach and higher power, great for cutting ropes or even attacking from a distance.
Vivi has a unique technique called "Hypnotic Dizzy Dance," in which she spins and dances in her pattern clothes to make her opponent dizzy and vulnerable.

- Rebecca: Princess of Dressrosa. They became quick friends after meeting at the World Meeting.
- Shirahoshi: Princess from Ryugu Kingdom, close in age and also rescued by Luffy D. Monkey. They became friends at the World Meeting.
- Other Alabasta Friends: She is admired by her people and is recognized as a hero throughout Alabasta for her bravery.
- "What’s so wrong with that!? Is it bad to think it’s best when no one dies?!"
- "I learned on this ship how not to give up so easily!"
- "The rain falling now… will fall again like before."
- "The nightmare… is over!!"
- "Thank you for everything!!! I still want to have adventures, but I love this country too much!!!"
- "If we meet again someday, will you call me your friend once more!?"
- "He is going to be the King of Pirates!"
Beginning as Miss Wednesday
Vivi, as Miss Wednesday, first comes to the story at Twin Cape with her partner Mr. 9, trying to hunt the giant whale Laboon for food on orders from Baroque Works.
After meeting the Straw Hats and getting defeated, she loses her log pose needed for travel in the Grand Line and asks the crew to take her to Whiskey Peak.
At Whiskey Peak, Vivi and the others try to attack the Straw Hats for their bounty but fail.
Baroque Works Exposed
Vivi’s cover is blown by the Mr. 5 pair, turning her from the hunter into the hunted.
With help from her friends, Igaram and the Straw Hats, she escapes.
After leaving the island, they are visited by Robin Nico (then called Miss All-Sunday), who gives them an eternal pose pointing to a different island, but Luffy D. Monkey destroys it, so they continue to Little Garden.
Little Garden and Drum Island
On Little Garden, Vivi meets two giant warriors and ends up captured by Mr. 5 again, but is rescued by the Straw Hats.
Next, while trying to cure Nami’s illness on Drum Island, Vivi and the crew experience trouble with the locals who hate pirates. Vivi bravely stands up for the Straw Hats and is hurt, making Luffy D. Monkey and the others respect her even more.
Alabasta Kingdom: The Main Adventure
Arriving in Alabasta, Vivi works with the Straw Hats to stop Crocodile, head of Baroque Works, who wants to take over her kingdom.
After many hardships and fights, the Straw Hat crew helps defeat Crocodile, ends the rebellion, and brings rain back to the parched country.
Vivi chooses to stay as a princess and not become a pirate, believing her kingdom needs her, but promises to always be their friend.
After Alabasta — World Events
Vivi is seen several times through cover stories, newspapers, and world updates.
She finds out about Robin Nico joining the Straw Hats.
When Luffy D. Monkey’s message “3D2Y” appears, she notices but doesn’t understand its meaning.
World Meeting and Recent Events

Her father is killed, and Vivi is reported missing in the world news.
She escapes with Wapol and ends up at the World Economic Newspaper, where she is safe for the time being, but now wanted by powerful people who know about the secret of the “D” clan.
Egghead Incident
After hearing about her father’s fate, Vivi is deeply saddened but recovers.
She protests when Morgans, the news boss, tries to report a fake story about the Straw Hats being in a massive battle at Egghead Island.
- Vivi was originally planned as just a one-time villain called Miss Wednesday. Oda, the creator, changed the story after drawing her with her hair down and thinking she looked like a princess.
- Even after leaving the Straw Hats, Vivi is still loved by fans and appears in side stories, covers, and anime episodes.
- In the anime, she often gets her own opening and ending visuals, especially during the Alabasta arc episodes.
- Her secret agent dance technique is referenced in both games and manga spin-offs, sometimes as something she’s embarrassed by.
- Despite not joining the crew, her connection to the Straw Hats is recognized by her friends and allies, who refer to her as one of them.
