Princess of the Ryugu Kingdom, the eldest daughter and youngest child of the Neptune family. A mermaid of the giant fish Big Kiss.

Born in Fish-Man Island, 16 years old. Birthday is April 4th (from "shi"raho"shi"). Height is 11.87m. Aries. Blood type X. Favorite food is sea grape pasta.

Known as the "Mermaid Princess," she is a peerless beauty. She has a giant body like her father Neptune. She has long pink hair held back with a taiyaki hair clip. Due to a long life of confinement, she is timid and a crybaby, but she is honest, kind, and has a strong, devoted personality. She is not good at flattery and tends to speak her mind clearly. She addresses everyone with "sama" and speaks in a polite tone. The islanders call her "Princess Shirahoshi." Initially, Luffy called her a "coward," but later he called her "Yowahoshi."

She is a legendary mermaid who can communicate with Sea Kings, born once every few centuries, and bears the name of the ancient weapon "Poseidon." It is said that she could save thousands of lives if she tries to save people, but if she uses her power with malice, she could sink the world into the sea. Shirahoshi herself is not aware of the threat of this power.

Ten years ago, during the turmoil when the Celestial Dragon Mjosgard drifted ashore, she first manifested her ability to communicate with Sea Kings. However, she has been targeted for years by Vander Decken IX for his persistent marriage proposals, and to escape his ability-based attacks, she was forced into confinement in the Hard-Shell Tower. Several years after the death of her mother, Otohime, she learned from her pet shark Megalo that the assassin was not a human but Hody. However, because of a promise with her mother to never hate the perpetrator, she kept it to herself.

Initially mistaking Luffy, who entered the tower, as an assassin targeting her, she came to trust him after being saved from Decken's axe. Accepting Luffy's invitation to go outside, she hid inside Megalo's mouth and escaped from the Hard-Shell Tower. At Coral Hill, she was directly proposed to by Decken but rejected him, saying "You're not my type." After visiting her mother's grave in the Sea Forest, she joined Luffy and others to rescue her captured father at Gyoncorde Plaza. To divert the ark "Noah" launched by Decken away from the island, she became a decoy herself, awakening the power of "Poseidon" and stopping Noah with the help of the Sea Kings. After the coup d'état ended, she was almost kidnapped by Caribou, who learned her secret, but was saved by Luffy. When Luffy and his crew were about to leave, she promised to walk on the surface with him someday.

In the New World saga, despite being afraid to go outside, she accompanied her brothers to the "World Conference" held in Mariejois. She quickly became friends with Vivi, Rebecca, and Mansherry, who also had connections with Luffy. Later, she was almost captured by Saint Charlos but was saved by Saint Mjosgard, who had been reformed by her mother Otohime. She was almost captured again by Saint Charlos but was rescued by Sai and Leo.

The author has mentioned that she, along with Hancock, was a character difficult to design. He also noted that he had not often drawn beautiful women with troubled eyebrows like Shirahoshi.

A giant shark, larger than the giant Shirahoshi. Originally a pet of the Neptune army. He was her only conversation partner in her Hard-Shell Tower.

He witnessed Hody assassinating Queen Otohime and told Shirahoshi the truth years after the incident. He was swallowed by the Kraken but was accidentally rescued by the Straw Hat crew. Luffy forcibly put Shirahoshi into his mouth and took her to the Sea Forest.

The model and origin of his name are from the ancient shark Megalodon, said to be an ancestor of the great white shark.
