A man with an extremely large head. When he first appeared, only his head was exposed above the ground, leading Luffy and Nami to mistake him for a giant. He cherishes his two daughters as irreplaceable family members and always carries a pendant with a photo of them from when they were born. He is not strong, but he has the courage to risk his body for his daughters. Big Mom used to call him a "persistent man who keeps coming back no matter how many times he is kicked." When he was married to Big Mom, he wore a crown. He refers to himself as "Uno" and ends his sentences with "yone."

26 years ago, right after his daughters Chiffon and Lola were born, he was discarded by Big Mom as no longer needed. During the Whole Cake Island arc, he was buried in the Seducing Woods when he met Luffy and others, and he talked about Big Mom's powers and the structure of Totto Land. He was almost killed by Sweet Commander Cracker but was saved by Luffy. He helped Nami when she was about to be captured by Brulee, which led to him being considered a traitor, and he hid while Luffy and others fought Cracker. Later, he escaped from Whole Cake Island and landed on Cacao Island chasing after Chiffon. When Chiffon was about to be executed as a traitor, he jumped in front of Oven to create an opportunity for Sanji to save her. He then ambushed Oven from behind as Oven tried to sink Bege's ship, helping Bege and others escape. He smiled at his grandson Pez for the first time and apologized to Chiffon for not being able to do anything as a father, and while expressing his belated wedding congratulations, he was purged by Oven.

In the cover story "Gang" Bege's Oh My Family, he washed up on Dressrosa in a near-death state. He reunited with Chiffon and Lola and revealed that he was their father, but they did not believe him at all. Left alone at the port, he swam after them amidst naval gunfire, and his desperate appearance and the photos of the two convinced them that he was their father, leading to his rescue. Afterwards, he rejoiced at reuniting with his daughters and celebrated Lola and Gotti's wedding.
