A leader among the Tontatta Tribe warriors, known for wearing green-based clothing. Lives with his grandmother Grabber. During King Riku's reign, he frequented the Dressrosa royal palace and was close to Scarlett and Viola. He is very insensitive, often dismissing Mansherry's affections as mere whims and making tactless remarks, which frequently angers her.

User of the Paramecia-type Devil Fruit "Nui Nui no Mi," which allows him to stitch anything together. In the series, he uses sewing needles to stitch people to the ground or walls to restrain them, and to fix objects in place.

He captures Robin upon landing on Greenbit, but after receiving a report from Flapper, he treats Robin and her companions as legendary heroes. Joins forces with the one-legged soldiers at the "Riku Army Rally Headquarters" and carries out the "Dressrosa SOP Operation" to rescue his comrades working at the SMILE factory. During the operation, he is captured and tortured by Trebol but continues to cheer for Usopp, believing him to be a true hero. After the success of the SOP Operation, he escapes from underground with an immobilized Usopp. After the "Birdcage" is activated, he storms the palace with Kabu to rescue Mansherry, and they narrowly prevent Jora from using Mansherry's healing abilities to revive the executives, defeating Jora and preventing the executives' revival. After escaping the palace, he collaborates with Mansherry to treat Law's severed right arm, which was cut off by Doflamingo. After the turmoil, with permission from the Tonta chief, he leads 200 soldiers and pledges allegiance to Luffy, becoming a member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. After returning to Dressrosa, he erects new statues of Luffy and Usopp in the town.

In the cover story "The Straw Hat Grand Fleet Story," he forms the "Tontatta Pirates" and helps with the reconstruction of Dressrosa. The residents of Dressrosa gift him the pirate ship "Usoland," and King Riku requests him to escort the "World Conference." During the World Conference arc, he travels to Mariejois and reunites with Sai, who was also there as an escort. When Shirahoshi is nearly kidnapped by Saint Charlos, he, backed by Saint Mjosgard, teams up with Sai to thwart the attempt.
