Edmaris Falmuth

The greedy and famous king who rules the Kingdom of Falmuth. In Volume 5 of the books, he uses the teachings of the Luminous Church as a pretext to target benefits, leading an army of 20,000 to invade the Jura Tempest Federation. However, he loses all his forces due to Rimuru's magic. Although he survives as a prisoner, he is transformed into a living mass of flesh by the resurrected Shion, and in that state, he is sent back to his country and exposed in front of his subjects. The mass of flesh is then treated by Diablo, who turns him into a puppet.

After the war, he deeply regrets having been blinded by greed and mismanaging the country. Thinking of his country and its people, he abdicates the throne, judging that his young eldest son, Edgar, would not be able to overcome the national crisis, and appoints his brother Edward as the next king. After abdicating, he disguises his identity and becomes an advisor in the Kingdom of Falmuth, supporting Youm.
