Leader of the "Curly Dadan Family" bandits. Foster parent to Luffy and Ace. Bounty of 7.8 million berries.

A bandit living behind Foosha Village on Mt. Colubo. A middle-aged woman with a fierce face and a burly physique, she is always seen with a cigarette in her mouth. She does not hesitate to commit theft, fraud, or murder, but she has a compassionate nature. Her affection for Luffy is stronger than anyone else's, and she does not hold back even against Garp, who is usually completely dominant, especially when it comes to Luffy and Ace.

Over 12 years ago, she was entrusted by Garp to raise the newly born Ace in exchange for overlooking the "countless sins" she had committed. However, Ace was uncontrollable even as a baby, and she eventually gave up and left him to his own devices. 12 years ago, she also took in Luffy, and later, took care of Sabo, who was brought in by Ace and Luffy. Despite their misbehavior, she gradually grew fond of them. During the great fire at Gray Terminal, she went to rescue Luffy and his friends, supporting Ace while fighting against Bluejam. When Luffy and Ace each set out on their journeys, she was moved to tears in secret by their words of gratitude.

After the end of the Summit War, she confronted Garp when he temporarily returned to Foosha Village, demanding to know why he didn't save Ace, and beat him up in her sorrow and anger. She then resolved once again to support Luffy no matter what kind of pirate he becomes, and cheered for Luffy, who had lost his brother, by looking up at the sky. In the New World saga, she is seen being friendly with the villagers at Makino's tavern. She collects newspaper articles about the Straw Hat Pirates and reads articles about Luffy and Sabo.
