Yasuie Shimotsuki

Former daimyo of Hakumai in Wano Country. Publicly known as "Tonoyasu," a drum carrier living in Ebisu Town.

Born in Wano Country, died at the age of 71. Birthday is April 2nd. Height is 155 cm. Aries. Blood type F. Favorite food is white rice.

A cheerful man with a towel wrapped around his head. Although he seems frivolous at first glance, he is a kind-hearted person who provides homes for newcomers and distributes food and medicine to the residents. The people of Ebisu Town revere him as a "Buddha." His daughter Toco, sold to the capital, sends him much of her earnings, which he generously shares with the unemployed residents. He was once married but had no children, and has been single since his wife passed away. Commonly known as "Yasu."

During his time as the daimyo of Hakumai, he was known as "Hedgehog Yasu" due to his spiky hairstyle. He was a strict man, so respected that he was considered a potential next shogun after the death of Sukiyaki Kozuki. He believed that Oden Kozuki was the man who would carry the future of the Kozuki family, and when Kin'emon and others tried to steal a large sum of money for Oden, he gave them the money, urging them to become retainers worthy of supporting the future shogun. After Oden's execution, he chose to fight against Orochi without hesitation, but was defeated by Kaido and subsequently hid in Ebisu Town. There, he found and raised the baby Toco as his own daughter. When Toco ate a defective SMILE fruit, he chose to eat one as well, deciding to laugh forever.

In the Wano Country arc, he treated Zoro to sushi and then won big at a gambling house they visited. When harassed by the Kyoshiro family for his winnings, Zoro saved him. In gratitude, he invited Zoro to Ebisu Town and entertained him with the residents. When Kin'emon's secret message was exposed, leading to the imprisonment of many allies, he used the name of the great thief "Ushimitsu Kozo" to commit thefts, and was captured and crucified in Rasetsu Town. In front of the public, he claimed that the secret message was a prank he created, secretly entrusting his allies with a new meeting place at Habu Port. He strongly condemned Orochi as a "pest" and a "small-minded man who will never taste 'Oden,'" before being executed by gunfire from Orochi and his subordinates. His body was recovered by Franky and Kanjuro and buried in Kuri's Amigasa Village.
