Vetto has a large, beast-like, heavily muscular body, giving him the presence of a wild animal more than a man.

In both his original and reincarnated forms, he carries an intimidating aura that emphasizes raw physical power.

He is obsessed with driving opponents into utter despair, preferring to toy with them using his overwhelming strength rather than simply finishing them quickly.

He habitually calls humans “trash” and “insects,” and he holds a particularly deep hatred for royal families, referring to them as a “tainted bloodline.”

Despite his cruelty, his fixation on despair is tied to the suffering and persecution he and the elves endured.

This twisted sense of justice and vengeance fuels his sadism in battle and his contempt for the human world.

In his past human life, Vetto suffered some form of persecution and was left collapsed and near death.

He was then found by Licht (actually Patry using Licht’s body), who noticed his resemblance to the elf Vetto and took him in.

Through the forbidden magic “Evil Eye,” his body was possessed and effectively overwritten by the soul of the elf Vetto, implying a form of forced reincarnation into that human body.

From that point on, he lives and acts as the elf Vetto, a loyal member of the Eye of the Midnight Sun and one of its Three Eye mages.

Later, when Patry activates a mass reincarnation spell using the power of magic stones, Sally’s created clone bodies allow Vetto’s soul to take form again.

This second reincarnation gives him a new, youthful body, about 15 years old in appearance, with his soul fully anchored to it.

After the defeat of Zagred, the word-magic devil, Vetto’s soul remains stable in this new body.

Together with Rhya and Fana, he chooses to continue living in the modern world rather than passing on.

He eventually settles in Elysia, a hidden elven sanctuary, where he spends his days among elves away from the human kingdoms.

Vetto is one of the Three Eye, an elite trio within the Eye of the Midnight Sun, carrying the title of “Despair.”

He is fiercely loyal to Licht (Patry) and fights relentlessly for the elves’ revenge against humans.

He views most humans as worthless, especially nobles and royals, whom he blames for the elves’ tragedies.

Despite this prejudice, his later survival after the devil’s defeat forces him to coexist with the human world indirectly through life in Elysia.

He has a complicated history with various Magic Knights: he clashes with Jack the Ripper, and later with members of the Black Bulls such as Asta, Finral Roulacase, and Vanessa Enoteca.

He also faces Mereoleona Vermillion in the Shadow Palace after his second reincarnation.

Vetto’s most defining trait is his absurdly massive pool of mana.

So much magic constantly overflows from him that his body is naturally protected, and ordinary mages cannot harm him even if he does not actively defend.

His offensive power is high enough that a single direct hit can be fatal.

On top of raw strength, he possesses blistering speed that remains difficult to counter even for opponents who can read ki (life energy).

Vetto can also read the ki of his enemies, allowing him to track their movements and intentions in close combat.

This combination of overwhelming physical might, frightening speed, and refined sensing makes him a monster in close-quarters fighting.

When his third eye opens, his beast magic evolves into a more sinister form often called “magic beast magic.”

This grants him powerful long-range techniques and regeneration strong enough to restore a severed arm.

According to Owen, this evolved magic is similar to an ancient type of curse sorcery.

Wounds inflicted by this power cannot be properly healed by normal magic and can only be cured by the Witch Queen’s blood magic.

Nean Cave Incident

Vetto first appears when Licht (Patry) collapses in Nean Cave.

He enters the scene to save him, leading to a clash with Jack the Ripper.

Their fight remains unresolved, however, because Licht (Patry) loses control and goes berserk.

Seeing that the situation has become too unstable, Vetto withdraws without settling the score.

Seabed Temple Assault

Later, Vetto targets a magic stone located in the Underwater Temple at the bottom of the sea.

He storms the temple with several mages under his command, easily cutting through the temple’s priest mages and members of the Black Bulls.

He systematically crushes one opponent after another, enjoying their growing fear and despair.

Eventually, he faces Asta, Finral Roulacase, and Vanessa Enoteca together.

The trio’s teamwork starts to trouble Vetto, making it harder for him to land a decisive blow.

Refusing to accept such resistance, he deliberately lets Asta’s Demon-Dweller Sword stab into his abdomen, planning to crush Asta’s arms and spirit at point-blank range.

He grabs Asta’s arms and mauls them to the brink of destruction, almost completely disabling him.

However, this arrogance backfires: the Demon-Dweller Sword absorbs Vetto’s mana through the embedded wound, significantly weakening him.

Thanks to this mana drain and the combined effort of his opponents, Vetto is finally defeated.

Refusing to accept defeat, he attempts to self-destruct, planning to drag Asta and the others into death with him.

Before he can finish the self-destruction, Yami Sukehiro appears and cuts him down in a single strike.

This blow stops Vetto’s suicide attack and ends his life in that body.

Second Reincarnation and Shadow Palace Battle

When Patry activates the reincarnation spell powered by magic stones, souls of the elves return to bodies across the kingdom.

Because of Sally’s prior experiments, a clone body allows Vetto’s soul to inhabit a new, teenage-looking vessel.

In this second life, he enters the Shadow Palace, the mystical realm tied to the elves’ plan and the devil’s emergence.

There, he crosses paths with Mereoleona Vermillion, one of the Clover Kingdom’s strongest royal mages.

Despite his monstrous power and regenerative abilities, Vetto cannot withstand her ferocious strength.

He is defeated in battle by a single overwhelming attack from Mereoleona.

After the climactic fight against the devil Zagred, the reincarnation magic resolves differently than expected.

Vetto’s soul remains anchored to his new body instead of dissolving, giving him a true second chance at life.

Choosing a future no longer driven purely by hatred, he decides along with Rhya and Fana to live on in the current era.

They reside in Elysia, an elven hidden land, away from the front lines of human conflicts.

Beast Magic

Vetto’s primary magic attribute is Beast, and he is a user of Beast Magic, shaping his mana into animalistic forms.

He typically wraps his body parts in mana made to resemble ferocious beasts, boosting both offense and defense.

Bear Claw

Vetto coats his hands in magic shaped like a bear’s massive claws.

With these mana claws, his punches become slashing, crushing blows capable of tearing through solid defenses.

Rhinoceros Armor

He envelops his entire body in mana taking the form of a rhinoceros.

This armor-like construct greatly raises his defense, allowing him to endure tremendous punishment and resist enemy attacks.

Cheetah Charge

By channeling beastly mana into his legs, Vetto boosts his speed dramatically.

This spell lets him dart across the battlefield with the swiftness of a cheetah, closing distances before his opponents can react.

Magic Beast Magic (Evolved Form)

When Vetto’s third eye opens, his Beast Magic transforms into a more advanced and cursed form, often called Magic Beast Magic.

In this state, his attacks gain increased destructive range, and he unlocks powerful regeneration abilities.

According to Owen, this style of magic resembles ancient curse-based sorcery.

Wounds dealt by these techniques become nearly impossible to heal by conventional means, with only the Witch Queen’s blood magic able to treat them properly.

Unnamed Regeneration Magic

Vetto can regenerate his body using this evolved magic, restoring even completely severed limbs.

This regeneration can reconnect cut-off body parts and mend severe injuries that would normally be fatal.

Unnamed Roar Attack

He can unleash the roar of a beast as a wave of magic to attack his enemies.

This magical roar blasts out from him as an offensive shockwave, crushing foes at range and spreading destruction across the battlefield.
