His public identity is as a money changer for the Kurozumi family, and he is known as "Kyoshiro," the boss of the yakuza group "Kyoshiro Family." He was born in the Flower Capital and is currently 47 years old. His birthday is October 26th, he is 306 cm tall, his zodiac sign is Scorpio, and his blood type is XF. His favorite food is beef sinew, and he dislikes grilled kusaya. His hobby is napping, and his image animal is the Borzoi.

His features include sharp, elongated slanted eyes and a pompadour of light blue hair, and he wears flashy kimonos. 20 years ago, he had a more gentle face, wore sunglasses, and tied his long hair back. As Kyoshiro, he shows no mercy when his subordinates are attacked, and he harshly deals with those who oppose the shogun. His swordsmanship is on par with Zoro. The people call him "Boss Kyoshiro."

In his youth, he was an orphan in the Flower Capital, cunning in acquiring goods cheaply. He looked down on many adults but respected Oden alone. After the "Mountain God Incident" 41 years ago, he became one of Oden's first retainers along with Kin'emon. After Oden was executed, he and Ashura Doji held off pursuers, and he became separated from Kin'emon and the others. 13 years ago, the women of the pleasure quarters protected Hiyori and hid her as "Komurasaki" in the pleasure quarters. While acting as Kyoshiro, he stole money from villains at night and distributed it to the poor. This was his activity as "Ushimitsu Kozo," which gained him great popularity. During the day, he always appeared sleepy and was also called "Sleepy Kyoshiro."

In the Wano Country arc, when his subordinates were defeated, he summoned the Tobiroppo and helped Komurasaki to protect Toko at the banquet in Orochi's castle. On the day of the Fire Festival, he protected the Flower Capital while freeing captured samurai and participating in the raid. In the battle on Onigashima, he challenged Kaido and was defeated, but later he defeated Orochi. Seven days after the battle, he confronted the attack by Admiral Ryokugyu.

The origin of the name "Kyoshiro" comes from the swordsman "Nemuri Kyoshiro" in the novel by Renzaburo Shibata. The author is very fond of his design.
