Momonosuke Kouzuki

General of the Wano Country. Son of Kozuki Oden.

A young boy with a topknot hairstyle. He has a strong sense of self-esteem, is stubborn and somewhat lecherous. He has a fear of heights and is somewhat cowardly, but he is aware that he is immature compared to his great father and holds firm beliefs. After growing up with Shinobu's ability, his hair grew long, and he acquired a sturdy physique inherited from his father, resembling Oden. His father was executed before he could inherit the ability to read and write the ancient script, so Momonosuke himself cannot handle the ancient script. His beloved sword, inherited from his father, is "Ame no Habakiri." He refers to himself as "sessha" and ends his sentences with "gozaru."

He is a user of an artificial "Devil Fruit" created by extracting Kaido's bloodline elements by Vegapunk, which allows him to transform into a pink dragon. After becoming an adult with Shinobu's ability, he can transform into a dragon as large as Kaido, create "Flame Clouds," and fly by grabbing onto them. Initially inexperienced with his abilities, during the Wano Country arc, he demonstrated growth by creating huge Flame Clouds that could support an entire island and unleashing "Boro Breath" like Kaido. Like Oden, he can hear the voice of Zunisha, see what Zunisha sees, and communicate his will. He is a user of "Observation Haki."

Born on the ship of the Whitebeard Pirates, he was named "Momonosuke," which means "invincible." Later, he moved to the Roger Pirates' ship with his parents, but his mother Toki fell ill due to the long journey, so he disembarked in Wano Country with Toki and his sister Hiyori. Twenty years ago, he lost his parents to Kaido and Orochi, and leaped forward 20 years in time with Toki's ability and his retainers, including Kin'emon, to avenge his father Oden and to recruit comrades to defeat Kaido and Orochi. Along the way to "Zou," he mistakenly boarded a ship from Dressrosa to Punk Hazard and ended up at Punk Hazard with kidnapped children. He accidentally ate a failed "Devil Fruit" in a "secret room" in the laboratory and transformed into a dragon. After falling into a trash bin in the laboratory basement and becoming trapped, he encountered Luffy and escaped with him. After escaping the laboratory, he reunited with Kin'emon and joined the Straw Hat Pirates.

In Dressrosa, he stayed on the Sunny with Nami and others, repelling an attack by Jora who was targeting him, thanks to Brook's efforts. Later, when a pirate ship from the Big Mom Pirates targeting Caesar appeared, he left for the next destination, "Zou," ahead of time.

After arriving at "Zou," he avoided contact with the Minks and stayed in his room. When Kin'emon reached Zou, he revealed his identity to Luffy and others and formed an alliance with Luffy to defeat Kaido, their parents' enemy. Right after, he heard the cry of Zunisha being attacked by Jack and ordered Zunisha to counterattack, repelling Jack. He stayed on "Zou" to continue communicating with Zunisha, parting ways with Luffy and Kin'emon for a while.

He arrived in Wano Country ahead of Luffy and others, reuniting at the ruins of Oden Castle. During training in Amigasa Village, he encountered Big Mom who had drifted ashore at Kuri Beach. To rescue Luffy, he headed to the Udon prisoner mine with Chopper and others. After taking control of Udon, he appeared before the prisoners who still doubted whether Raizo and others were real, explained what had happened to them, and successfully recruited them as allies. On the day of the final battle at Tokage Port, he was captured by Kanjuro who revealed his true nature and was crucified at Onigashima. Kaido offered to spare him from execution if he denied being Oden's son, but he bravely declared his name. Immediately after, he was freed by Sanji and fled from the pursuers of the Beast Pirates with Shinobu. Along the way, he was helped by Yamato and received Oden's logbook in the "Locked Warehouse" inside the dome. He was found by Kaido in the ceiling of the first floor of the castle but escaped to the ground, and reunited with Luffy, who had been rescued by Law's subordinates at Tokage Port. To return to Onigashima, he aged 20 years with Shinobu's ability and became a giant dragon, delivering Luffy to Kaido. As Luffy and Kaido's battle began, he continued trying to produce Flame Clouds to prevent Onigashima from crashing into the Flower Capital, nearly breaking down multiple times but ultimately succeeding in creating the clouds just in time. After the battle, he appeared before the citizens in his adult form, announcing the defeat of Kaido and Orochi and declaring that he would be the new shogun to govern Wano Country. Seven days after the battle at Onigashima, he fought Green Bull, who had landed in Wano Country to capture Luffy, and with Shanks' help, managed to drive Green Bull away. A few days later, as Luffy was leaving Wano Country, he received the Straw Hat Pirates' Jolly Roger from Luffy, who encouraged him, and he vowed to surpass his father as he saw them off.

The names "Momonosuke" and "Kin'emon" are derived from the Showa era's famous actor Nakamura Kin'nosuke.
